As promised, our book is already appearing free of charge and it will continue to be added to in 2022 as an ongoing and copyright partwork. Now that Paul Rusling and his band of con-conspiratorial thieves have been disposed of, we can push ahead, although we obviously wish that he had taken up our offer to apologise, instead of repeating his project of theft. But you will soon be able to read the ongoing review of Rusling's rubbish over on Mike Wilson's dedicated site. Click here to go there. In the meantime, here is a 'gift', a clue from Merle Haggard, and it will take a smart anorak to figure out what the connection is with this song and what we are working on. (Don't ask Paul Rusling, he won't know.) .... Our Blog update of yesterday, is now our Blog update of today, and it will continue to expand in scope and detail. So do take a look and see what the future will hold as our contribution to the world of publishing.
For the first time we can now reveal the outline of the story that we are still working on. It is the story that Paul Alexander Rusling does not know or understand. But because of his brazen theft of our own copyrighted work which we paid to research with both time and money, we could not proceed until he released what he claims is his 'updated bible'. We had to legally mitigate our financial damages by waiting to see what he would publish as a result of stealing our work. We doubt that his lack of credibility will now allow him to steal from us again, because the story you are about to read is at total variance to the nonsense that he has now published twice in a book that he calls 'The Radio Caroline Bible'.
UPDATE ADDED: In order to create a more complete outline, an insertion was added after the initial posting regarding the 1961 arrival of Ronan O'Rahilly in London. This insertion is indicated by an asterisk.* First, the real fight for 'free radio' began to come to active life in 1959, and then it went into high gear during the first few years of the Nineteen Sixties. Second, the fight that then took place with the Pilkington Committee, was a form of non-violent Tory 'civil war' over ideology. The success of the Labour Party after World War II introduced legislation that the Conservative Party could not rescind. This included political planning that led to the creation of the National Health Service. But throughout the Nineteen Fifties there were really only two political parties because the old Liberal Party had been replaced as the second party by the Labour Party. In that climate the Tories were split between a faction that adhered more to Liberal ideology, versus the de facto faction which believed that they were stuck with a mixture of capitalism and socialism. Third, this political fight within the Tories was really a fight between 'new' Tories and old aristocrats. But the aristocrats were recruiting new members and those aristocrats formed one half of the Establishment which was another name for the British Crown, which still is a corporation sole. That is an entity created to live "forever", even though its figurehead is human and naturally (sometimes unnaturally), always dies. Then a new figurehead steps in. Translated into ordinary language of the moment, it pitched Queen Elizabeth II as the Crown figurehead, against her sister Princess Margaret who represented that faction of the Establishment that was not in control of the nation, but which was a privileged group that saw the masses who voted politicians in and out of office, as a rabble to be disdained and kept in their place. Fourth, the 'enemy' of 'free radio' had not changed since the creation of the BBC. It was the newspaper and printing industry who saw the BBC and broadcasting in general as a rival that threatened the controlling power of the international press barons, and much of the British press was in the hands of non-residing British aristocrats. The musicians came under the control a union dominated by the Labour Party, but the press was under the control of the Conservative Party, while the printers of its publications fell under the influence of the unions controlled by the Labour Party. But since the Tories were in power during the Nineteen Fifties into the Nineteen Sixties, this is where and why and how the 'fight for free radio' took place. Fifth, Jocelyn Stevens was part of the aristocracy, but he trained to become a printer. He also inherited via his mother, a sum of money which allowed him to buy an existing company that had acquired a magazine for the Establishment called 'The Queen'. The editor of that magazine was Beatrix Miller who had ties to Vogue magazine on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. It was Beatrix Miller who came up with a style sheet for writers that she called 'Caroline'. But her original version of 'Caroline' was born at the end of the Nineteen Fifties and it represented the aristocratic readership of 'The Queen'. Then along came Jocelyn Stevens and Charles Orr Stanley. In 1959, these two, for different but compatible reasons, embarked upon a plan to reshape the control of the Establishment. (Remember, we are not talking about the 'rabble', but the people with money and power who pull the strings controlling the 'rabble'.) Stanley was a Protestant Irishman with a home that ended up on the 'wrong side' of the Irish border, the non-British side. But Stanley was a pragmatist who got along with the Roman Catholics and even the ardent Irish who demanded independence for the entire island of Ireland, because Stanley built some of his industries on both sides of the Irish divide, and he employed a lot of people. Thus, Charles Orr Stanley was able to maintain his family home in the Republic of Ireland, and keep his business headquarters in Cambridge, England. Paul Rusling and his anoraks are really uneducated buffoons. They spout a lot of nonsense and know absolutely nothing - about anything. Qualified radio engineers such as George Saunders view Rusling's advice on technical matters as that of a mere child pretending to be something that he is not. Rusling shows off his total lack of knowledge by stealing information and then melding it into a silly book called 'The Radio Caroline Bible'. Rusling stole information from the 'Trio'. Some of that information concerned Stanley's 'Radio Cambridge' of 1960, but Rusling failed to grasp its significance. That radio station actually broadcast from Cambridge on the Royal Agricultural Show grounds where the station was built. The press hailed it as Britain's first local radio station. It was not a 'dummy' as Rusling claims, because it actually broadcast and had the capability of upping its power of outreach. This prototype was of the kind that Stanley wanted to sell as a 'packaged' radio or television station. Stanley did not want to run radio stations. Rusling does not seem to know that 'Radio Cambridge' was then replaced by another Pye 'packaged' station called 'Radio Westminster', and this was also in the year 1960 when Stanley was trying to engage with the Pilkington Committee. When the Tory Pilkington Committee slammed the door on Stanley, and the Tory Postmaster General dithered about what to do next, he decided to do nothing at all. So the curtain of censorship came down and blotted out a lot of information about what really did happen. Ronan O'Rahilly showed up in 1961, after this first era had come and gone ! Stanley knew that he needed to get that faction of the Tory Establishment which was represented by Princess Margaret, on his side, if he was to overcome the Tory Establishment in power that was represented by Queen Elizabeth II. This was not a power game that the school dropout named Ronan O'Rahilly knew anything about. O'Rahilly was 'Irish' and not 'English', and that was a 'problem' that Charles Orr Stanley ran into in his first meeting face-to-face with Anthony Wedgewood Benn. Benn whittled his name down to Tony, but he remained an aristocratic snob who tried to ingratiate himself with the Labour Party, but he did not fit in with their agenda, and so he remained a head-scratching question mark. On the one hand, he and his American wife with the ironic name of Caroline, gravitated towards the British aristocratic class of privilege, while on the other hand Tony and Caroline Benn attached themselves to the Labour Party where he was soon to be given power of control over communications in the United Kingdom. At that time, while disdaining Charles Orr Stanley as a human being and representative of British industry in general, in fact, Tony Benn was very close to endorsing the Pye Broadcasting Plan that Charles Orr Stanley represented. But Charles Orr Stanley, Tony Benn and Ronan O'Rahilly were all peas tossed from the world of British politics. In one sense they had all emerged from similar pods, the pods deemed not fit for purpose by inspectors engaged in political packaging. The British Tory Establishment did not like Charles Orr Stanley because he was an 'Irish' upstart who dared to challenge the Italian Marconi interests which were wedded to the birth of British broadcasting under the banner of 'BBC'. Ronan O'Rahilly was a kid from Ireland who no one wanted and that eventually turned Ronan O'Rahilly from being a young man in a suit doing his father's business bidding, into a rebel without a cause, or an anarchist by his own definition. Then there was the snobbish Tony Benn who did not like Charles Orr Stanley and who totally ignored Ronan O'Rahilly as a nobody from nowhere. Tony Benn tried to make himself out to be a man of the 'common people', but the British Labour Party union base did not view Tony Benn as one of their own, because he was not. Tony Benn was born into the privileged world of the select few who snobbishly dominated the British Establishment. This trio of Charles Orr Stanley, Ronan O'Rahilly and Tony Benn were as similar as they were different in their attitude towards life, but only Charles Orr Stanley ever created anything that really connected with the lives of the working people, and yet, he was an outsider who was destined for oblivion in the eyes of the British Establishment. They simply wrote him out of 'their' story. On the other hand, other individuals have written Ronan O'Rahilly into a story which they invented, while Tony Benn has simply faded away like the eponymous soldier in that English folklore song that General Douglas MacArthur referred to at the end of his career. In once sense Jocelyn Stevens also belongs in this oddball category. Jocelyn Stevens was part of Princess Margaret's 'Set', and yet, because Princess Margaret was also an oddball who didn't seem to belong to the British base of Establishment political power, Jocelyn Stevens did not fit in either. Like Princess Margaret, Jocelyn Stevens was in a constant struggle to find his niche, but in the end he seems to have concluded that he had to create that niche that he was to belong to. It was a strange niche, and it evolved out of a confused Tory power base which began to find its form in 1956 when Tory Prime Minister Anthony Eden launched his failed invasion of Egypt during the Suez Crisis. Stevens was disgusted. But Anthony Eden was an old timer, unlike the young Elites who graduated from Cambridge University to become a gang that infiltrated the upper echelons of British power, and did their best to destroy the majesty of the British Crown on behalf of Joseph Stalin's Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). Jocelyn Stevens valued privilege and not ideology, so he locked on to a cobbled-together mixture of excess socio-political thinking that identified with Princess Margaret; media manipulation and the quest for satisfaction as mouthed by Mick Jagger. However, like Mick Jagger who threatened legal retaliation against Jocelyn Stevens who identified Jagger with 'Radio Caroline', Jocelyn Stevens attempted to create a strange new cultural animal that was still born upon arrival by the year Nineteen Sixty Seven. Jocelyn Stevens' vehicle for reform was the aristocratic fuddy-duddy magazine called 'The Queen'. Stevens tried his best to convert 'The Queen' magazine into 'Queen' magazine and aim it not a society matrons, but at a hip and wealthy younger generation still attached to titles of nobility. To do this, Stevens used Beatrix Miller's style sheet called 'Caroline', and redefined her corseted and symbolic lady as a swinging young slut who disdained both corsets and bras. This was a girl that could give sexual satisfaction to Mick Jagger because she had both money and connectivity to the aristocracy, but with an air of privacy. When Beatrix Miller learned of Jocelyn Stevens' plans to sully her imaginary image of 'Caroline', she quit on the very day that Stevens backed the registration of a sales company called Planet Productions Limited in Ireland. It had been formed to sell advertising time on a forthcoming 'Radio Caroline'. But, there was no doubt that Miller's 'Caroline' had begun to morph into 'Radio Caroline', and that fact was so noted in British business magazines. 'Radio Caroline' was to be aimed at young housewives, but soon this audio version of the Caroline style sheet came to abandon the idea of "no sex before marriage" - in keeping with the avant-garde ideas of Mary Quant who was influencing the replacement of stodgy images created by the established fashion houses. Miller could see what was coming and she wanted no part of it. So she left Stevens and his company and went to the Continent on holiday. Then she reappeared in the editorial offices of 'Vogue' magazine in New York where Miller's idea of decorum and taste were still admired. Stevens' next move was to recruit a young kid who loved money and expensive cars which his 'Daddy' could afford to give him. His 'Daddy' was not a part of the aristocracy. He was a married New Zealander with a son who came to London and got divorced; married again and had another son that he called Ian. His name is Charles Edward Ross, and because years later, his son wrote a novel about a 'Jimmy Shaw', Rusling seems unable to accept the fact that Charles Edward Ross is not 'Jimmy Shaw' who did not exist. So Rusling has joined a moronic tribe who try to convince equally moronic anorak followers that the friends of Charles Edward Ross called him 'Jimmy'. What Rusling and his really thick followers do not know, because they never asked, is what did Charles Edward Ross do for a living when he started living in Chelsea? The answer is that he attached himself to a dry cleaning business in Scotland, which, with the help of a merchant bank called Close Brothers, had been taken nationwide throughout the British Isles as a franchise. Meanwhile John Sheffield had created a group of holding companies. The primary company was called Norcros, but there was a Southcros and a Scotcros as well. They all owned the shares of smaller companies and they marketed those shares collectively in order to raise capital that individually these companies could not get. Jocelyn Stevens not only married John Sheffield's daughter who also served Princess Margaret, but back in 1960, Jocelyn Stevens also became a director of Southcros. So in the year before Ronan O'Rahilly set foot in the UK, Stevens and Sheffield were already bound together by a marriage and by business interests. No 'Jimmy' introduction was necessary in 1963, because their relationship was firmly underway in 1960 before Ronan O'Rahilly even showed up! While Ian's 'Daddy' built a large dry-cleaning enterprise in conjunction with its founder, they relocated the dry-cleaning head office to Chelsea, and the founder of the company relocated to Sussex to join Charles Edward Ross which enabled the founder's daughter to become a debutante and thus mix with the aristocracy. But there were other connections to the dry-cleaning business because one of the companies that Norcros took over was the largest manufacturer of dry-cleaning equipment in the British Isles. Of course this link to dry-cleaning is not the stuff of excitement and it is totally unrelated to broadcasting, but that is the world that young and spoilt Ian Cowper Ross grew up in, and wanted out of. In fact, Ian Cowper Ross was born in Chelsea, while his older step-brother had been born in New Zealand. Ian was pampered by his father, and so at age 18 he was able to smash an expensive Jensen car into a bus, after he had crashed an expensive motorbike into a plate glass window. That Jensen car crash put Ian into hospital where he almost lost his foot, and then it put him in court for dangerous driving. 'Daddy' needed to do something about Ian. Ian's step-brother was into several activities with a business partner, and they also had their base on the King's Road in Chelsea. Their activities included a restaurant and a car wash business on the King's Road, while also engaging in trying stage a theatrical musical production, without much success. Ian wanted to join the aristocracy and the easiest way to do that was to marry into an aristocratic family with ties to other aristocratic families, and that is what he did. His choice of aristocratic families led him to become entwined with the financial string-pullers behind the Beatles' merchandising gold mine. Ian also became 'bait' for Jocelyn Stevens while Ian was on his way to finding the love of his life in a very aristocratic British family. Among the various businesses that Sheffield's holding companies had control of was Jensen cars, which is how Ian came to get his hands on one and caused a serious road accident. But it was Sheffield's interest in the manufacture of dry-cleaning equipment, and the dry-cleaning retail franchise of which Charles Edward Ross was a director; the financial exploitation of that business by Close Brothers merchant bank, and the directorship of Jocelyn Stevens in a Sheffield holding company, that all three became aware of each other very early in the Nineteen Sixties. That was long before the arrival of Ronan O'Rahilly from his home near Dublin in the Republic of Ireland. Meanwhile, young Ian was being 'used' by Stevens while Ian was using Stevens to get his leg in the door of the aristocratic world. While all this was going on Charles Orr Stanley was quietly working on his 'Radio Cambridge' and 'Radio Westminster'. That project had teamed-up with a Conservative MP who had formed a company back in 1959 called 'Radio Yorkshire (Development) Ltd'. That MP also became a director of Close Brothers, the merchant bank. Another part of the Stanley plan was in setting up a company that his freelance designer Alan Bednall described in the book called 'Radio Man'. That 'secret' (we know its identity) company had its base on the Isle of Man, and it was connected to the initial plans to set-up a high-powered 'Radio Manx'. The people running that operation (apart from Manxmen), were from Shipley, Yorkshire, home of the eponymous radio station tied to 'Radio Cambridge' and 'Radio Westminster'. Now it is as an offshoot and accidental interest, that the arrival of Ronan O'Rahilly in 1961 collided with all of these ongoing interests. Ronan O'Rahilly was their 'stooge' and young Ian Cowper Ross became an ancillary script writer to help weave a mythology around this man who Wikipedia has fallen for hook, line and sinker. O'Rahilly was a Roman Catholic and therefore he was not a magnet drawn to the Protestant world of the British Establishment, so he became their 'useful fool'. He was initially sent on a mission by his industrialist father to raise money for his father's business, but he became side-tracked into the club world run by the likes of slum landlord Peter Rachman and the gangland world of the Kray Brothers. However, when the Tory Pilkington Committee slammed the door in Stanley's face, he turned to a dual-track in his plans to secretly force changes on the British government. Concurrent with Stanley's plans on land, he had been involved with a continuing series of plans to create a de facto broadcasting station from offshore. Those plans went through several projects and eventually ended up with 'Radio Caroline'. That is how this gigantic jigsaw puzzle came together with the creation of 'Radio Caroline' on board a ship. *Naturally this scenario raises the question about the presence of Ronan O'Rahilly. He wasn't in on any of this at the beginning, nor was he a source of money, so what did anyone need him for? After all, the silly story spun by Ronan O'Rahilly involving Georgie Fame and Caroline Kennedy are not a part of the story spun by Ian Cowper Ross, and the O'Rahilly tales are total nonsense that contribute nothing. So where did he fit into this game plan being orchestrated by Charles Orr Stanley? Why was a second ship necessary when the Mi Amigo was available and ready to go? Allan Crawford lacked the money to buy it, and Charles W. Weaver had instructions not to lease it. O'Rahilly had been in London since 1961, but he played no part in the creation of Radio Caroline until he met up in early 1963 with Allan Crawford. Crawford is on camera making that statement, after he had time to pin down the date, and that date fits in with related timelines recalled by other people. When Project Atlanta Limited was registered at the beginning of August 1963, it had very few people on its board of directors. The heavy hitters came in later. Some were related to the printing and publishing industry, including the firm that printed the original Radio Caroline rate card showing an address on Regent Street. The original recorded programs for Radio Caroline were made in Crawford's studio and the original meeting that brought together Wijsmuller, A. N. Thomas, Harry Spencer and Ronan O'Rahilly, took place in Crawford's office and studio on Dean Street. That seems to have occurred during January 1964. Planet Productions Ltd was not registered as a sales company until February 25, 1964, and on that day Beatrix Miller threw in the towel and quit 'Queen' magazine. There was no Radio Caroline company. So with all this money changing hands, who was orchestrating the movement of these plans to create Radio Caroline. Alan Bednall says that it was Charles Orr Stanley's son named John. Other people who worked for John Stanley confirm this information. The records of the company that owned the mv Fredericia shows that it was sold at the tail end of 1963 and that it became the mv Iseult. We know that before O'Rahilly became an anarchist in 1966 (or earlier), he was still working with his own father into 1964-1965, and his father was trying to create a ferry boat and container ship business. But we also know that Ronan O'Rahilly's father was strapped for money. So the mv Iseult was resold to become the mv Caroline and O'Rahilly Sr., also gained income from outfitting both the Caroline and Mi Amigo from workers using his property. This idea was clinched when Harry Spencer from the Isle of Wight was warned off at the last moment from doing work on the ships on the Isle of Wight. Aside from money coming in from printers to fund all of this, there was also money coming in from people connected to the nascent offshore oil and gas industry. They wanted to explore the North Sea off Great Britain, but at the time there were no laws except for the defunct 'Hovering Acts' that governed the kind of offshore activity these explorers wanted to undertake in international waters. So the potential possibilities versus the risk of government intervention needed to be tried out as a practical experiment, and Bill Weaver was not allowing anyone to experiment with the Mi Amigo. When the mv Fredericia renamed mv Iseult became available, the grandson of Henri Deterding, the man who built-up Shell Oil, joined the board of Project Atlanta Limited as a director. Thus Radio Caroline popped-up out of nowhere, or so it seemed. It had no management company and no boss except for Jocelyn Stevens and Ronan O'Rahilly, and neither one had ties to broadcasting. The man who pulled all of the strings was Charles Orr Stanley, and the man who carried out behind-the-scenes management was his son John. Paul Rusling knows nothing of this. For proof read his 'updated bible'. As Mike Wilson has already explained, Rusling played his last card with his 'updated bible' and exposed himself as a money-grubbing, unethical loaf who sponges off others. He makes claims about his qualifications that the engineering world laughs at. Now he has fallen face downwards into a slime pit of his own creation, we can at last begin to tell you what we now know. We did not want to even begin to hint at the real story (which we have yet to explain in detail within a forthcoming series of books), because we knew that Rusling would try to steal it. Now that Rusling has finally and forever tied himself to someone called 'Pinky' and to Malcolm Smith and his irrelevant operation that calls itself 'Radio Caroline', which has absolutely no connection to the original Radio Caroline of 1964-1967, we can begin to make good on our promise to reveal for the very first time anywhere, the fully documented and amazing story behind the aristocratic creation of Radio Caroline. We can tell you why it came to an end on August 14, 1967, and why it will never, ever to return to the airwaves again. The first partwork book in the name of 'The Trio' - which incorporates our previously published academic works; our broadcast scripts, journalism articles and related books authored by Dr Gilder with cooperating assistance from 'The Trio' - is now in the editorial stages of production. [The above monologue is copyright 2021 in both the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and in all other countries recognizing original work, with all rights held by Mervyn Hagger, Eric Gilder and Genie Baskir.] First, here's Dick Clark introducing Mark Dinning in 1960 .... Now here's Mark Dinning in 1961 singing about 'Top 40, News, Weather and Sports' .... As we explained in yesterday's Blog, we have now received the 'updated' version of Paul Alexander Rusling's print-on-demand hardbound 'Bible' - which, contrary to his claims, still contains repetitious text and howling typographical errors. Rusling has revised some of the inaccurate text that appeared in the first edition, and in so doing he has made HIS story even more fictitious than it was in the first place. This is NOT the story about how Radio Caroline began. Rusling's 'Bible' is made-up rubbish without ANY sources being cited - other to acknowledge that it is, like his first edition, a book of 500 pages of gossip by people with names like 'Pinky'. It is worse than Wikipedia for its inaccuracy. Cite this book as your source in a classroom academic assignment and your school paper will be graded 'F' for fool. Here is how Paul Alexander Rusling tries to dig himself out of the hole that he is forever digging deeper and deeper for himself to disappear into: "Posted by Paul Rusling on December 13, 2021, 5:05 pm: As for the information in the Caroline Bible: MH made some suggestions as to what HE thought happened in 1963. When I discussed his theories with my own contacts in Caroline, wi.e. (sic) people there at the relevant times, laugher ensued, and scorn in abundance. Some suggested that it was time the real story was written. I cross referenced as much detail as possible and have to say that I believe Oonagh, Ronan, Vincent, Kate, Ben, Pinky and other contributors. Like any other bible, RCB is a collection of stories from many people, all of them contemporaneous and the ones who really made Caroline happen." Note that Rusling makes reference to "MH" who is one of our Trio, but MH is not the Trio who have a long record of peer-reviewed and thoroughly documented publications that include their unfolding and continuing revelations about the start of Radio Caroline. Paul Alexander Rusling documents absolutely nothing. He relies upon gossip from 'Pinky' and company! But initially, Rusling tried to hijack the work product of the Trio in this advertising - which "MH" made him DELETE! We published that illustration back on October 27 of this year with the challenge: "This is a challenge to Ray Clark and Paul Rusling who have both engaged in promoting the mythological story of Ronan O'Rahilly and a man named 'Jimmy': Do you two individuals have any other source of documentation for your claims about a man named 'Jimmy', sans surname, other than Ian Cowper Ross and his 1990 novel called 'Rocking the Boat', and the subsequent appearance by Ian Cowper Ross on a 1991 BBC television program? " In that same post that Paul Rusling created on December 13, 2021, 5:05 pm cited above, he added this as his EXCUSE for selling undocumented gossip by 'Pinky' and company: " I can't believe stories that are simply conjecture, woven by someone with an ulterior motive. .... Someone who assured me that the bogus stories about the CIA ...., FBI, etc, that he sent to me were true. Someone who has grubbed around a few official court records and quotes them as though they are all correct. " So instead of official court records, Rusling believes gossip by 'Pinky' and company! The "someone" he refers to is the Caroline Investigation Newsletter published by us, and Ruslng was on the mailing list! In addition, Paul Alexander Rusling visited our sub-library in person on TWO occasions! But back on September 6, 2021, we exposed the LIE spun by Paul Alexander Rusling when he falsely claimed that none of his information was stolen from us. On that date we cited our own Blog post dated August 4, 2020 and this is what we wrote: " .... we dealt with the story behind Paul Rusling's original theft, although we left out many details which we will now reinsert into the actual story. In that edition dated August 4, 2020, we explained how an Admin (Dave Martin) on the 'Free Radio Forum' posted on September 19, 2019, the following comment about Rusling's 'bible'. It reads: "It is endorsed by many, including Mervyn Hagger, Gary Stevens and Hans Knot." That was before Rusling actually began selling his book. Paul Rusling then responded on October 30, 2019 by claiming that: ".... The Radio Caroline Bible is nothing to do with Mervyn Hagger." But that statement by Rusling contradicted his own advance sales flyer dated September 21, 2019. The denial by Rusling was followed by this post: "I thought Paul there was a mention of Hagger within the acknowledgements - that has now vanished/censored??? Yes or No??" That question was followed by this answer: "Posted by Dave Martin on 1/11/2019 .... look here https://mb.boardhost.com/FreeRadioForum/msg/1569052225.html" (A reference to 'Free Radio Forum' .) This was then followed up by this comment: "Thanks Dave, I thought I did not dream it up. If Paul has erased ALL of Hagger's nonsense (including his name) from his book, he can come here and say so and welcome, silence is not an option though, nor is denial." But these anoraks are deluded fools of the status of religious cult members who will believe anything. So this same individual then added this on November 1, 2019: "I hope his (Mervyn's) book, if it ever sees the light of day, is a huge flop. To pick on someone who cannot defend themselves, is vileness of the first order. But Hagger, seems to have no normal human feelings at all. Just complete and utter selfishness." This reference to the person who "cannot defend themselves" is a reference to the now dead Ronan O'Rahilly, the Roman Catholic turned anarchist who lied his way through life and whose lies were then recited at his Roman Catholic mass by a Priest! O'Rahilly lied his way into death with the blessings of the Roman Catholic Church! Clearly, idiots such as Bob Meade who made the comment cited above would have a difficult time in saying anything negative about Adolph Hitler - if Meade consistently applied his standards to the morality of all human beings who have died! After calling out Rusling for denying that he had stolen information from the Trio, Meade then turned around and attacked a member of the Trio for having supplied information to Rusling! That is the product of such a looney thought process that it is difficult to fathom. But then, Rusling's own convoluted justification for his own thefts is equally difficult to comprehend. What Rusling chose to do is TAKE (STEAL) our documentation and then try to meld parts of it to fit the gossip stories of people like 'Pinky' and company. So he has now corrupted the entire story to the point that we have to spend time exposing Rusling's fraud by REPUBLISHING as much of his 'Bible' as necessary in order to expose his theft and deceit. So that is what we will do! Save your money because you will eventually be able to read an annotated and unexpurgated version of the Paul Alexander Rusling 'Bible' free of charge! If you want to know how YOU can read the annotated and unexpurgated version of Paul Alexander Rusling's 'The Radio Caroline Bible' FREE OF CHARGE, then you need to immediately begin clicking this web address for upcoming details: Meanwhile, we will now begin to assemble the true story about the birth (and death) of Radio Caroline!
In the spirit of "goodwill to all men and women of goodwill ", here is a gift of truth and honesty to blow away the lies, deceit and money-grubbing exploitation of those who steal and try to hide the truth!
We begin just a few days ago with this nonsense posted by Paul Rusling on December 9, 2021 at 5:10 pm. It was edited by Garry Stevens' Admin "PaulRuslin" on December 10, 2021 at 11:01 am: "We are now on our 7th reprint, but these are NOT PoD small run, as has been suggested. We use big 'proper book printers', in commercial quantities." Here is what the "PaulRuslin" 4edge.co.uk printers of his 'Bible' have to say about "Ruslin's" claim to using: "proper book printers in commercial quantities" (From his own printer's FAQ page:) "Do you offer POD (print on demand) printing? If print on demand (POD) is defined as single copy production then this is not what 4edge offers. However we believe that our minimum order quantity of 10 copies and fast turnaround times means that we can respond quickly and flexibly to your book printing needs." Note, Rusling's chosen printer will print for payment a minimum of 10 copies of a book! But even if Rusling scraped together every penny he had to publish a thousand books, he would still be a print-on-demand publisher! Rusling was not commissioned to write his rubbish book by a credible publisher, and neither did he submit it to an academic peer review journal, he self-published his 'Bible' and it was printed according to his demand for a quantity of books - after he had paid the printer. The printer is 4edge and their work appears to be excellent, but they are not a publishing house, nor are they academic peer-reviewed publishers, they are printers who print on demand after payment has been made. So what? Well Rusling's latest 'update' is complete with howling typos; repetitious paragraphs and totally false information that Rusling claimed to have removed ! He didn't. Rusling LIED again! Here is what Rusling claimed on December 20, 2021, 11:53 pm, which was amended the next day by AlfADmin at 7:58 am ..... Yesterday we contacted those on our list who bought the Caroline Bible and offered them the latest updated text, free." So what was different about the text of Rusling's original version and his 'updated' version? Here is what Paul Rusling added on December 21, 2021, 12:36 pm: "Just to be clear, what is on offer to previous buyers is a PDF copy of the text that has been updated, i.e. it's a compendium of the pages that have changes on them." This was followed up by an anonymous (not a real and identifiable person), post by "Dennis of Norfolk" on December 22, 2021, 10:54 am: "Thanks to Paul for the pdf update, I expected a few new pages for free not 207!" So what do those 207 pdf pages contain? (Remember, we now have a copy of his print-on-demand 'updated' book.) Here is the last post on that thread as it presently stands. It is by Paul Rusling on December 22, 2021 at 12:05 pm: "It's a copy of every page there is a change on; some were shuffled around, some had text reworded, some had bits removed (mostly where two people said the same thing - it just makes it easier to read as a story)." Again, Paul Rusling LIED to his buyers that he SWINDLED the first time with the print-on-demand nonsense - that he is NOW selling while giving away 207 pages of pdf text, because his latest RUBBISH contains repetition, false information and howling non-proof-checked errors. He even manages to give Robert (Bobby) Kennedy the new first name of "Bobbie" and his Index is anything but accurate. That is just for starters. On one page the name 'News of the World' appears correctly, and on another it becomes 'News of the Wold'! We will be reviewing this 'updated' book by Paul Rusling to show that he does not have the slightest clue as to what he has printed on demand! Rusling is trying to push the idea the Radio Caroline began in 1964 and continues today with Malcolm Smith's eponymous little licensed station. Rusling builds his case around Ronan O'Rahilly who arrived in London in 1961 to do his father's bidding, but by 1966 he was admitting on film that he had become an 'anarchist' while remaining loyal to the Roman Catholic faith. O'Rahilly also made it clear that he was true to the cause of the anarchist, and that he did not want a license for his 'pirate radio station' which had nothing to do with the original station. That died on August 14, 1967. Yet Rusling and Smith embrace Ronan O'Rahilly and then sneer at him by going to the British government and begging for a government license. Smith also filed his company papers using a fake name! These people are hypocrites of the first order who know absolutely nothing about the real story of Radio Caroline. While Rusling stole our research, he dares not reveal what he really knows (assuming that he understands what he stole), because it totally contradicts everything that his dumb anorak goons have swallowed hook, line and sinker. Radio Caroline was born in 1964 out of the work of a British electrical manufacturer; financed by the Established British printing and publishing industry and promoted on behalf of the British aristocracy! In 1964 Radio Caroline was about as aristocratic a venture as it could be. Its main purpose was to force the UK government to license local radio stations. It took decades for this to happen, but when it did in 1972, the UK Sound Broadcasting Act expanded the powers of the Independent Television Authority to license local radio in the United Kingdom. That was how a story that began in 1959 ended, and one of the people who had been in for the long haul and part of this political struggle that began in 1959, ended up by being the top dog of the 1972 Independent Broadcasting Authority! Does Rusling know this? If he does he got it from us and he is keeping his mouth shut because it contradicts everything that he has now published. Our work has been regularly copyrighted since the Nineteen Sixties and it is specifically copyrighted in the UK; USA and the EU member state of Romania. Now that Rusling has drawn his line in the sand with a dateline showing his latest theft, we can at last begin to tell you the real story. It is not only the story that Rusling is covering-up, but why Smith's eponymous licensed operation is built upon fraudulent claims! Merry Christmas to all who are honest and have the best interests of humanity at heart! But here's good news. We collected a copy of Paul Rusling's latest literary swindle today, and yes, he tried to do what we thought he would do. Our own authentic review will follow after a slight pause for a holiday ....
How does an anorak review Rusling's book?
Spot the non-fake information. (Hint: The spelling of his name is correct.) Maybe that is why not one single anorak has commented about any text in the book. As expected, those who seem to actually worship the divinity of Ronan O'Rahilly did not like our video which exposed him to the world - in his own words - on camera!
What we wanted to establish by that video is a timeline that Ronan O'Rahilly had set in place, not someone else speaking for Ronan O'Rahilly. From this brief video (see previous post below to access it for yourself, if you have not already viewed it), Ronan O'Rahilly said that he first arrived in London "sometime in 1961". Over a period of time he claimed to have done many things after arriving in London at "sometime in 1961", and those events can only begin after "sometime in 1961" and before he started to refer back to those same events a little later on, but without saying exactly when those events took place. Now we can start pinning his activities down to very specific dates. Clearly the events he claimed to have associated himself with cannot have taken place before "sometime in 1961" - unless of course you want to become an O'Rahilly apologist by inferring that Ronan O'Rahilly did not know what he was talking about. We are sure that there are some anoraks out there who believe in Ronan O'Rahilly so much and a such a saint-like figure that they would make anything up to make his life fit in with their own imaginary scenario. But here we are talking about 'normally sane' individuals which seems to be a category that many anoraks remove themselves from. But Ronan O'Rahilly also admitted to much more than the year of his arrival in London, when he answered some very specific questions about his religious and political views. We know that the interview was recorded at some time in 1966, and it shows a slide into a chaotic way of irrational thinking. Some might call it delusional insanity. Ronan O'Rahilly claimed in 1966 to be a Roman Catholic, and indeed a Roman Catholic service was conducted in front of his coffin when he died in 2020. So no change there, except that the Priest conducting the affair admitted that he knew very little about Ronan O'Rahilly which accounts for the Priest then reading a totally bogus script relating to the totally fictitious life of a lie that Ronan O'Rahilly claimed to have lived. Most of those lies belong between 1961 and 1966 when Ronan O'Rahilly claimed on camera to be an anarchist: that is, someone hostile to the idea of law and order and government itself. That is not how he thought when he first arrived in London in 1961, but that is how he morphed into a world of self-delusion by 1966 with the support of a band of anoraks who imbibed his lies and deceit. When he arrived in 1961, and certainly into 1964, Ronan O'Rahilly tried to fit in with the Establishment, until he came to see that the Establishment was using him. Ronan O'Rahilly was also a part of his father's family business in 1964, and his father was trying desperately hard to work with the governments of both the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom in order to further his own export business. It was after the October 15, 1964 UK General Election when the Tory government lost power that Ronan O'Rahilly began to invent, or go along with a fictitious tale that was being spun to hide the real story about Radio Caroline. Don Pierson from Eastland, Texas was fed this tale of nonsense and to his own detriment, he swallowed it hook, line and sinker. But Ronan came to believe that anyone could tell a big lie and get away with it, and of course, that included Ronan O'Rahilly. But Ronan O'Rahilly did not realize that by doing so he was stepping out of the real world into a world of insanity - which was paved with drugs. In other words, Ronan O'Rahilly began the slide down a slippery slope which led to his own mental oblivion. In his own make believe world nothing was real but himself. It is the real world that we are focusing on, a world which Ronan O'Rahilly denied its existence. It was a world dominated by aristocracy, and aristocracy was behind every part of the story behind the creation of Radio Caroline. Its driving force was another Irishman from the Republic of Ireland and his name is Charles Orr Stanley. He shared the job of creating Radio Caroline with his son named John. However, Charles Orr Stanley was not in the business of starting and running radio stations, he was in the business of making equipment to be sold to those who wanted to run them. There were plenty of candidates, and aside from the delusion of Allan Crawford, the rest of them were not into pop music but local Establishment politics tied to local newspapers that belonged to big international media barons. In fact, the entire 'Swinging Sixties' nonsense is part of the 'Big Lie', it never happened. What did happen was a rivalry within the British Royal Family that was represented in the lives of two sisters, and one of them was Queen Elizabeth II. It a 'Big Political Lie' mainly pushed by men who were at least a generation older than Ronan O'Rahilly. While Ronan's father was kissing-up to that British Establishment, Ronan was trying to topple it - until he threw in the towel and turned his back on all government. Ronan was an anarchist with a diminished hope in the back of his mind that maybe, just maybe, the Pope in Rome was really the representative of God on earth, and maybe, just maybe, like the Italian Mafia mob leaders, no matter what he did here on Earth, everything would be sorted for him once he got to Heaven. On the other hand, being sane realists, we don't believe what Ronan believed, and it is our mission to explain what really took place in the Nineteen Sixties. In the beginning, which was around 2014, we began a new phase of this research project which was created when we read he book 'Radio Man'. That research was triggered by a speech that was to be given at the Burntisland museum featuring radio broadcasting history.
So we teamed-up with Chris Edwards of Offshore Echos Magazine to try to uncover the hidden story behind the creation of Radio Caroline. We worked on the man who paid to have 'Radio Man' written. We also contacted the Science Museum extension in Bradford who had received all of the research notes for this book. It was a lengthy process and the Bradford people eventually told us where the original notes were and what to look for - after the man who paid to have the book written - eventually gave us a tip - after misleading us! Chris Edwards was the foot man who set off to a remote storage location that was under the control of the Science Museum. It was at an old RAF airfield turned into a solar farm. After a lot of searching on more than one occasion, Chris Edwards located an unsorted box (one of over 40!), and BINGO! - he found the original interview text which had been created personally by the man who paid for the book called 'Radio Man' to be written! Obviously a deliberate cover-up was in progress. The true story of Radio Caroline was to remain hidden, if possible! Comparing the book text and the original text notes, we discovered changes in two key words and a rewriting of the text that appeared in the book. That text in print does not reflect the text in the books. Offshore Echos Magazine has since (and recently) published some of this, but NOT the entire story because it does not want to pull the rug from underneath the 'spirit' of Ronan O'Rahilly. But in life, somewhere around 1966, Ronan O'Rahilly became a living, walking, talking fraud and confidence trickster. He had originally been hired by Jocelyn Stevens as a 'front man' to spout the misleading information written by a public relations firm. Then, after O'Rahilly saw for himself what was really behind the curtain of 'Radio Caroline'. It was NOT the youth of the United Kingdom, but one branch of the same-old aristocracy and titled lords and ladies who had always pulled the banking strings of the British Isles. O'Rahilly was but a puppet on their strings! By 1966 O'Rahilly had become disillusioned and so he reverted to a belief in anarchy - no government - while remaining true to that pillar of the Establishment called the Roman Catholic Church! A strange combination indeed. We have gradually exposed all of this as it came to light, and we also began a new search in 2015 to discover what ALL of the newspaper and magazine articles and books and radio and TV programs did not, and still do not know about the 1964 start-up of 'Radio Caroline'. Paul Rusling was among about 20 people on a 'Caroline Investigation' email list who were invited to help find the true story. Yes, ALL of the anorak sources were represented, and that includes Garry Stevens at one point. But Malcolm Smith, who calls himself 'Peter Moore' had other ideas. He paid-off in some form or other, Paul Rusling who had visited our sub-library in Scotland - twice! Rusling even offered to help pay for some of the research expense! Instead, Rusling did a secret deal with Garry Stevens and the 'fix' was in! Smith plus Rusling plus Stevens set out to undermine our research and to con the anoraks out of money with a fake story called 'The Radio Caroline Bible'. It was all in support of Malcolm Smith's fake eponymous station called 'Radio Caroline' for which he had got a UK government license. As you have now heard and seen in our new video, Ronan O'Rahilly went from being a naive kid in 1961, to becoming a strange mixture of Roman Catholic and Anarchist in 1966, which means that O'Rahilly would have sneered at Smith's eponymous set-up with a GOVERNMENT LICENSE! So Rusling had to create the fake story that back in the Sixties, Ronan O'Rahilly - all by himself - had put together the business financing which underpinned 'Radio Caroline'. That was a joke because O'Rahilly claimed that he arrive in London during 1961 and had to borrow money from a bank to buy a suit of clothes. Thus was born in the bilge set forth by a succession of writers who relied on the later scripts of Ian Cowper Ross, to create first the non-existent character called 'Jimmy Ross' who had all the money, and then into promoting the "spirit" of Ronan O'Rahilly. That is the "spirit" which represented a government-hating anarchist that now lives on in the contradictory government-licensed operation run by Malcolm Smith that he calls 'Radio Caroline'! It is ALL a fake; a fraud, and a con job primarily engineered by Smith, Rusling and Stevens. It was Garry Stevens who backed this research on his Forum and then switched to supporting Rusling who supported Smith. Then Stevens' supporters split and created what Stevens called the 'Joke Board'. But all of these anoraks were and still are mere dupes serving Rusling who is serving Smith. Whether the daft and brain-dead anoraks want to admit it or not, Stevens, Rusling and Moore are laughting AT your stupidity. Neil Gates seems to be alone in sensing the contradictions at work! We bought Rusling's first attempt to publish his stolen texts in his 'bible'. We paid one of the biggest UK bookstore chains to get a copy, and this was achieved without trouble. We exposed Rusling's fraud on this Blog! Then Rusling announced a second edition of his fraudulent 'bible', so we PAID (in advance of publication set for November 2, 2021), a hardbound copy of this book. Publication date came and went. Then, over 50 days later we got word from the bookshop that their warehouse had received something from Rusling. What it is - we still don't know because we still don't have it - as of this posting on this Blog. But, the other day we learned that the bookshop warehouse has 'shipped' whatever it is, to the local bookstore for us to pick-up. So far it has not arrived. We posted word that Mike Wilson will be sent this book to review, and then BINGO! - yesterday, with a revision today, Paul Rusling has offered to send his updated text FREE to anyone who bought a copy of his first book - if the ones who did not buy from him directly, will contact him by email. What frauds this 'other trio' of Stevens, Rusling and Smith really are. What a confidence trick to pull on everyone who does have an interest in the original story about Radio Caroline that lasted from 1964-1967, and how amazing is it that just as we have managed to uncover about 80-90% of the real story, Rusling makes his move to give up the rubbish that he has been selling, and to do it free of charge. It is like the garbage collection people offering to sell you their collected rubbish one minute, and give it to you free of charge the next minute. Even the warped 'spirit' of Roman Catholic - Anarchist Ronan O'Rahilly must be laughing itself into a frenzy with all this nonsense. O'Rahilly was responsible for the mess that happened after 1967 in the name of 'Radio Caroline', and in the 1970s that included a duped Paul Rusling now turned con man himself! Now you know what is coming. To see and hear what Ronan O'Rahilly said about the past, watch our new video that we posted yesterday. At last we have been told that Rusling's updated hardback bible is on its way, which is interesting since he claimed to have 'sold out' of hardback editions. Just one snag: We still don't have it yet. But maybe in a day or so we will get word to go and pick it up. Now over 52 days later since placing the order, we hope to see what Rusling has stolen this time. Until we get it and review it, we cannot reveal any more of the real story. But we will, and we will also tell you exactly how far off the mark Rusling was, and is now, in understanding the true story of Radio Caroline.
He said something about Paul Rusling's book ordered in October which has not arrived - yet! But lo and behold we have just got word that it MAY be in the process of being shipped to us. So, maybe we and Chris Edwards will have something to review for truth content, and we may also have something to review for theft content. If it arrives we will let you know, and then we (Trio), can plan our next move. Thanks Chris, you seem to have caused Rusling some concern.
UPDATED! This recently appeared on the Garry Stevens forum: Posted by Chris Edwards on December 15, 2021, 8:15 pm, in reply to "Re: Radio Caroline Bible .... I would add I've had nothing to do with (MH) for several years. Originally believed he was writing a book, and shared some Public record documents with him (also shared same with Ray Clark and Paul Rusling) that he accuses others of "stealing" from him. All I can say is that at least Ray and Paul have written books. If MH does ever publish a book, then we will judge it for ourselves." Whether Chris Edwards ever wrote that paragraph we had no way of knowing since the handful of people on that forum use multiple forms of identity. But now this has appeared:
Posted by Chris Edwards on December 16, 2021, 4:07 pm: ".... for MH (yes it is me Chris Edwards writing this) I see in his latest rant, that his long promised book will apparently be published by the end of this year. Will look out for it on Amazon, and save any further comment until have seen a printed copy." We thought you were above this sort of comment Chris, especially in view of your previous comments to us. But in reply you need to read our companion Blog for today. The link is at the top of this page. You also have decided to join Garry Stevens who one minute praises our work and condemns the anoraks as idiots, and then joins a thief named Paul Rusling who in turn is putting his money on Malcolm Smith and his eponymous tiny station. But you are also creating a straw man with your comments. We strongly suggest that before you sink into the same sort of mire as the other anoraks you actually read what we have published on these Blogs and previously published in print and in book form. Note we wrote this in the plural, it is the daft anoraks who play the 'Steve Martin Game' and lose each time. You are now playing that same game. Whether you know what we discovered after we shared the time and cost of researching the back story to the book 'Radio Man', we don't know. If you don't know then you should be a wise man and stop before you sink your own reputation and that of OEM. You do not want to place yourself in the same boat as Rusling. Remember to read our other comments for today on our companion Blog! It is very dangerous for people to steal intellectual property from us and think that they can get away with it. It is also very dangerous for people to make claims on line that we can refute by quoting their own words from their own emails. Garry Stevens praised us and then sided with Paul Rusling who is a thief, and so Stevens decided to back Paul Rusling. But we have Garry Stevens' own words - some of which we have posted here already, and he has never, ever tried to refute them as his own writings. According to Garry Stevens our research puts the anoraks stories to shame. Now when it comes to Chris Edwards, it is very true that he shared public record documents with us (a Trio and not a person). But then in 2014 we ran into a problem after reading the book called 'Radio Man'. We (Trio + Chris Edwards) set about researching the origin of the text in that book because it contradicted everything we (Trio + Chris Edwards) thought we knew about the start of Radio Caroline in 1964. After a lot of work and some expense by both us (Trio + Chris Edwards) we solved a part of that problem. Only recently (this month) have we solved another big part of the riddle and we have shared out discovery with another unrelated person who is also Online, in the expectation that someone would claim that they had read this material before. That person is not Chris Edwards. We can cite chapter and verse in Rusling's absurd book where he stole directly from us (Trio) and we can also point to the fact that all of the anoraks rely upon the fiction of Ian Cowper Ross to explain the part played by Ronan O'Rahilly. Once Ian Cowper Ross is exposed as a person who wrote a novel one year, and implied the next year on television that it was a true account - without actually saying so - the entire Rusling and Ray Clark house of cards comes tumbling down. What we also realized very recently, is that Rusling is going to continue stealing and claiming our work as his work. Even the Planet Productions Ltd documents that were partly reproduced in OEM, were the co-work product of Chris Edwards and us (Trio). So we halted posting work on this site for a brief interlude, but it is still our intention to publish as a partwork the first book in the series before the end of this year. The story that we now know is 100% different from the one published by OEM; Rusling; Clark and all the rest of the anoraks. The story we (Trio) now have is not conjecture or something that Rusling's "Pinky" told us, but data we can take into a court of law and prove beyond reasonable doubt is the true story of Radio Caroline. OEM cannot do that. Rusling certainly can't, and while Ray Clark has made an honest attempt to find the truth, he was led up the garden path with second-hand tales and nonsense told to him by Ian Cowper Ross. Not one of these people know who Ian's father is and where he lived after coming to the UK, or who he married and divorced and married to another person; or who Ian's older step-brother is, or even, and this is most important, who Charles Edward Ross worked for! It is true that we have revealed some information on this Blog, but not the fine details and you won't find any of this on any other publication, unless of course someone like Rusling has managed to steal it. We know more and more of the real story and it is NOTHING at all like the anorak version. They don't even know the real story about Jocelyn Stevens, or how he forced his editor into resigning when Stevens turned the fictitious style sheet named 'Caroline' which described a young aristocratic woman, into a young slut with money. There is so much that the anoraks do not know that it renders what they think that they know into drivel to be told by Rusling's "Pinky". We know about 90% plus of the real story now. We researched the O'Rahilly involvement and we don't mean just Ronan who was but a stooge. But we know the real story about the O'Rahilly family, and we intend to assemble them with all of the other pieces of the stories about various individuals, into one continuous storyline. So if you have stolen from us (Trio) or turned into a foe rather than a friend, be careful what you claim Online because your own words may come back to haunt you when they are also reproduced Online. We may even include classic posts from Garry Stevens in the book itself! Since Rusling and Stevens seem to think that this is some sort of a game, they and others need to know why we pre-ordered Rusling's latest book. That is a book, which to date, no one has ever claimed to have read and reviewed. We ordered a copy knowing that Rusling is a thief after we bought his first book, and we noticed how he has stolen huge chunks of research from us - that have absolutely nothing to do with Chris Edwards. We ordered Rusling's latest book from one of the UK's top retailers and we have been in contact with them ever since the end of October. We still don't have a copy. Last week we were informed by this bookseller that Rusling never delivered his latest hard bound book to them. Instead he appears to have shipped one or two copies of his original softbound book. So our hardbound order for his latest book has remained unfulfilled. If Rusling now manages to send them a copy, we will let you know. The story of Radio Caroline 1964-1967 has yet to be told by anyone, although we have revealed a lot of material on our two Blogs. So what do the anoraks like "Pinky" have to say? Nothing. Well, yes they do. If we were of African or Asian descent and they attacked us personally, it would be very easy to report their actions as 'race hate crimes'. But it seems, using the same hate filled language against people of the same race does not count. These stupid children who use stupid and childish names only launch into personal attacks. Never do they dispute evidence. So they pick upon one member of 'The Trio', and make sure that they don't mouth off about Genie Baskir who is Jewish, because that might get them into trouble of another kind. The person they pick upon is of the same root race as most of the anoraks, so they feel "safe" from accusations of "racism" or anti-Semitism or anti-anything else. Finally, knowing that this post might be necessary there is one person in your midst who knows exactly what we have been working on. When the time is right, that person may chose to reveal themself as our copyright insurance depository. But so far the loopy anoraks only attack people, never factual material, and Rusling who checks nothing, just steals the intellectual property of others in order to put money into his own pocket without having to work for it. We still like Chris Edwards and we do appreciate his joint research which we both paid for. But that was only the beginning, and that beginning is now several years ago. So Chris is not aware of our latest and ongoing research, but at least one person out there (apart from our Trio), is fully aware of the ramifications of what we now know about the start of Radio Caroline in 1964, and why the eponymous tiny station now using that name is nothing more than a game played by old people to pass the time away until they also pass away. By the way, and this paragraph and the following two paragraphs are now being inserted into this update in order to learn whether "Pinky" is paying attention. Note this "Pinky": We have already published in the press; in academic journals, and yes, in book form. Because anoraks are a really stupid and hate filled tribe of idiots who only attack individual human beings, that fact cannot be admitted to by them. So they carry on about the lack of a book. The book we are now working on is in addition to all of our other published material, but because our target readership is an educated one, "Pinky" and friends obviously have not seen them. Now for the coup de grâce: At the start of this post we reproduced this comment from the Garry Stevens forum: "All I can say is that at least Ray and Paul have written books." Yes, they have, but another author also wrote a book that was also filled with so much misinformation that it led to the deaths of millions of people and the destruction of much of the civilized world. That author has sold more books than Rusling and Clark could ever dream of selling, and in his lifetime it made that author a very wealthy man. The name of that author is Adolph Hitler. So if slapping rubbish between two covers is the anorak gauge of success as an author, Clark and Rusling have failed. Goodnight "Pinky". Now address and dispute the facts, if you dare. "I believe Pinky. Like any other bible, RCB is a collection of stories from many who really made Caroline happen." signed Paul Alexander Rusling. December 13, 2021, 5:05 pm - He forgot the Easter Bunny.
Paul Rusling puts his trust in Pinky, not in reality. But then, how does anyone verify what Pinky said?
Today we received the latest edition of Offshore Echos magazine which we have now had time to read, and that included both its Editorial and inside content about Planet Productions Limited. Both subjects cover issues that we have addressed on our blogs in the past.
In fact, what we explained yesterday (see below on this post), is more comprehensive than the coverage in Offshore Echos about the same topic! In addition to remarking that the Editors of OEM are 'disappointed' to see that old lie about Caroline Kennedy being trotted out again on television, and repeating what we discovered long ago that the bottom had fallen out of the original plans for 'Radio Caroline' following the change in government after the 1964 General Election, there is this: "And on the subject of backers, there's the story of "Jimmy" Ross, father of Ian Ross. Mr. Ross senior was Charles Ross, and had nothing to do with Ross Fisheries or frozen foods as some have claimed, while others have claimed (us!) that he couldn't have been called "Jimmy" as his name was Charles (and perhaps should have been called "Charlie). It would seem that "Jimmy" was simply a nickname, and as we should know, nicknames usually have nothing to do with a person's real name. .... it probably doesn't matter that much, but it would be nice if the facts got reported correctly." UPDATE AT 8:01 pm GMT - RUSLING UPSET AND WORRIED! Posted by Paul Rusling on December 13, 2021, 5:05 pm, in reply to "Radio Caroline Bible " on the Garry Stevens site: "The Hardback copies of the Bible WERE all sold, rather quicker than we expected, and all delivered in November. Unable to get a quick reprint, we ordered some softbacks in early December as they can be printed in a week for small quantities (a few hundred)." RUBBISH - We placed the order in October and the bookshop chain has now revealed that Rusling never delivered them! RUSLING IS LYING AGAIN. Then Rusling wrote: "I believe Oonagh, Ronan, Vincent, Kate, Ben, Pinky and other contributors." Of course he does because he says the bookstore lie and even courts of law don't tell the truth: "I can't believe stories that are simply conjecture, woven by someone with an ulterior motive. Someone who HATES Ronan, Peter Moore & Radio Caroline. Someone who assured me that the bogus stories about the CIA, FBI, etc, that he sent to me were true. Someone who has grubbed around a few official court records and quotes them as though they are all correct." Rusling says everyone lies but him, but he is a CROOK and lying swindler trying to steal your money like he stole our research and then he wants to peddle his lie in exchange. So we should believe "Oonagh, Ronan, Vincent, Kate, Ben, Pinky and other contributors" and not hard evidence like a letterhead or official government and court records. RUSLING YOU ARE REALLY a con man who has nothing to lose because laddie, you are going to take yourself down with that ridiculous pudding bowl haircut. Yesterday we explained in detail - but without naming the name of the dry-cleaning companies involved - who Charles Edward Ross was in 1964. But several other items relating to the OEM editorial must be corrected: 1) The "Jimmy Ross" myth began with anoraks such as Ray Clark and Paul Rusling. 2) What Clark and Rusling have done is to start with an accepted 'fact' that is really an accepted lie! 3) "Jimmy Ross" is fiction and always has been fiction. That nonsense began with a novel by Ian Cowper Ross in which he referred to a family named Shaw. 4) The Shaw family does not exist! 5) It was gullible anoraks who turned Shaw into Ross! 6) We have explained all of this before in great detail, but anoraks don't bother to read reliable sources! 7) It is important to call Ian's father Charles EDWARD Ross because Ian's older step-brother is also named Charles Ross. He, like Ian has a middle name: Cowper. He is Charles Cowper Ross, and Ian is Ian Cowper Ross. 8) Charles Cowper Ross had a restaurant and a car wash on the King's Road in Chelsea. 9) In Ian's novel the main character is Paul Shaw and he had a brother with a car wash in Richmond! 10) Ian is not Paul Shaw, even though he used some of his life experiences in that book to create the character of Paul Shaw. 10) Ian never called the main character in his work of fiction (novel) by the name "Jimmy Ross". Anoraks did that by putting two and two together and coming up with 334 or some other silly number! 11) Ian calls Paul Shaw's fictitious family father "Daddy". He does not even call him "Jimmy Shaw"! 12) Ian's fictitious family father worked in the City financing things, but he was not a City banker. 13) In reality, Charles Edward Ross was the director of a franchised firm of dry cleaners. That firm began in Scotland before WWII, and then it moved its headquarters to Chelsea. 14) We bought a letter from this firm of dry-cleaners and Ian's father is one of the listed directors! 15) We know 99% of the life story of the Ross family. We know about Charles Edward Ross' first marriage in New Zealand; his divorce in London; his second marriage to to Ian's mother, and we know all about Ian's step-brother and even his step-brothers' business partner. 16) No one has EVER produced ANY documentation to link the financing of Radio Caroline to Ian's father, because there is NO documentation. There is only a novel and a lot of STUPID anoraks! 17) Anoraks made up the entire "Jimmy Ross" story - but they didn't know that they were doing so! That is stupid! 18) After Ian published his novel in 1994, Ian craftily IMPLIED that his novel is true but he never said that it was true on the 1995 TV documentary. Ian was careful to always talk of "Daddy" - NEVER of his father's real name! In an interview with Ray Clark, Ian went further to push the story of Ronan O'Rahilly and "Jimmy Ross" and the daft anoraks have been broadcasting this stupid story ever since. So if the money did not come from the phantom "Jimmy Ross", where did it come from? More important, who bought the ship Fredericia - long before the sales company called Planet Productions was registered? Why did Beatrix Miller object to Jocelyn Stevens taking her name of 'Caroline' who represented a young aristocrat, and turning her into a teenage slut with money, and why did Beatrix Miller quit on the same day the Planet Productions was signed (February 25, 1964), which was BEFORE it was even registered? Why did Crawford's man become the Secretary of Planet Productions Limited and why did Jocelyn Stevens get on its board of directors, and why did Jocelyn Stevens become a director of a John Sheffield subsidiary way back in 1960, and, well, there are so many other questions that immediately arise once Ian is taken out of the picture. We now have most of the answers. Rusling has NONE of them! If you take time to read our Blogs you will find that many of the answers were posted right here long ago! Now a word about Chris Edwards, the English Editor of OEM. First, let us acknowledge that without the help of Chris as a co-investigator, we would never have been able to solve the riddle of Radio Caroline. We agreed to keep Chris out of our Blogs because OEM deals with a lot more than 1964-1967, which is what we are interested in. We could not be blunt (like we are) without upsetting Chris' OEM readership. So we make no mention of Chris Edwards, but now, please take it as fact that without the help of Chris Edwards we would never have been able to solve the Caroline riddle after 2014 when we first encountered it in the book 'Radio Man'. Second, and unrelated to all of this, we have learned of the death of his wife. You have our sympathy Chris and we wish you well and that after mourning you will regain your sense of normalcy and pleasant low-key manner in which you conduct your own life. We appreciate all that you have done to help us. UPDATED: One glaring problem that Paul Rusling faces, along with all of the other nonsense writers have published their false stories about the start-up of 'Radio Caroline' in 1964, has to do with the source of its financing. So Rusling, and others, all rely upon the novel written by Ian Cowper Ross for information. But since Ian Cowper Ross' book is a novel, it is also a work of fiction.
We know now that the father of Ian Cowper Ross was in the dry-cleaning business and that he later became attached to an automated car wash business managed by his son, the older step-brother of Ian Cowper Ross. Now supposedly, according to the novel written by Ian Cowper Ross, the money to finance 'Radio Caroline' came from a visit by Ronan O'Rahilly to Ian's father, and Ian's father made some telephone calls. Exactly who he is supposed to have called varies according to the version of this bogus story that is being told. It could have been to John Sheffield of Norcros says Rusling, because Sheffield's daughter was married Jocelyn Stevens, but Rusling is not sure. But for that to work Ian's father would also have had an existing relationship with John Sheffield, or a relationship with Jocelyn Stevens. This is why the mythical link is added that turns Ian's dad into a City financier, with the implication that he had a hand in financing Sheffield's Norcros, or Stevens' Press that published 'Queen' magazine. But Ian's dad was not a City financier, he was in the dry-cleaning business! Why Ian's father in the dry-cleaning and car wash businesses would have a connection with either John Sheffield or Jocelyn Stevens is not explained by Rusling. Well, apart that is, from stating that Ian's father was a "well-known City financier", which he was not. Ian's father was in the business of franchising a dry-cleaning business and a car wash business. Now John Sheffield who had created Norcros, did have the only dry-cleaning equipment manufacturer in the United Kingdom in its group. But, Sheffield also had two other subsidiary companies tied to Norcros, and the dry-cleaning manufacturer was tied to Norcros. But as far back as 1960, Jocelyn Stevens had been a director of Southcros, which was a separate entity spun-off from Norcros. Of course Stevens knew Sheffield before that because he had already 'acquired' his wife from her father, John Sheffield. But if we look at Stevens we discover that both he and his wife were already being acknowledged as the 'Duke and Duchess of Caroline', according to a home movie made in 1964 by Peter Sellers. That film was then shown to Queen Elizabeth II in Buckingham Palace, because Elizabeth's sister Princess Margaret is seen cavorting around Stevens' garden in that film. Now while Sheffield does not show up on any 'Radio Caroline' documents, Stevens does! More than this, when Stevens decided to take down his target magazine readership from the older aristocracy to a younger 'hip' audience, his editor Beatrix Miller quit! When Stevens redefined Beatrix Miller's 'Caroline' style sheet, she left his employment on the very same day that Planet Productions Limited was registered in Ireland. Beatrix Miller did not want to a part of an operation that downgraded 'Caroline' from aristocrat to slut! Guess who else wanted to distance himself from this person called 'Caroline'? Mick Jagger! He sued when his picture appeared twice in 'Queen' magazine as part of a full page advertisement for 'Radio Caroline'! Aside from some of Crawford's people managing the 'Caroline' sales operation called Planet Productions of which Jocelyn Stevens became a director, there was no other company in the UK or Ireland behind the start-up of 'Radio Caroline'. That is, aside from Project Atlanta Limited. So how did Barry Ainley and Close Brothers get into the 'Radio Caroline' story? The answer is that the dry-cleaning business (which had its headquarters in Scotland, and moved to Chelsea), was floated by Close Brothers whose headquarters was in the Shell Oil building in London. The grandson of the founder of Shell Oil was on the board of directors of Project Atlanta Limited. One reason for moving the dry-cleaning head office to Chelsea, was because Ian's step-brother was running a restaurant and car-wash business at that location, and Ian Cowper Ross was born there! There were other ties as well. The dry-cleaners of which Ian's father was a director, was an end-user of the dry-cleaning equipment manufacturer that was part of the Norcros group. According to the silly stories out there, Ian Cowper Ross' father brought in Barry Ainley to run 'Radio Caroline', but in fact the connection to Close Brothers was already established with a northern branch of Close Brothers of which Geoffrey Hirst, MP became a director. Hirst was tied to the 1959 beginnings of the interests who who were behind the movement to get licenses for commercial radio, and that storyline does not run through 'Radio Caroline', but it connects directly to the formation of the IBA which was created out of the ITA! You see, what Rusling has fed the gullible anoraks is a story that is far removed from reality. Rusling stole our research and tried to reconcile it with the mythology manufactured by Ian Cowper Ross who also fooled Ray Clark and many others. But while there is a lot of information that Rusling became aware of from us, he could not reconcile all of it with the mythology tied to Ronan O'Rahilly, so Rusling just made stuff up. However, we discovered the business background of Charles Edward Ross, father of Ian, long after Paul Rusling stole from us, so Rusling never knew who Ian's father was, and for the most part he had no idea of how the real story came together. Therefore if you bought his first book (since the second edition seems to be a non-starter), you should demand your money back from Paul Rusling who sold you a story under false pretenses. What you bought as the true story of 'Radio Caroline' turns out to be a jumbled mess created in the head of a man with a boy-like pudding-bowl haircut. In other words Paul Rusling is a fraud! Just checked with the major bookstore that had our order (for Rusling's hard cover book) since October:
New message received from publisher (Rusling) to book store: Order direct from publisher (Rusling) only. So Rusling is "sold out" (not printed) of his hard back (that we ordered in October), and now we know why we can't get a copy: RUSLING DID NOT GET THEM PRINTED! If Rusling paid to get ANY printed, how many was that: ONE? What a fraud you are Paul Alexander Rusling! Rusling steals OUR intellectual property, slaps his name on it, and then he attempts to do it again! But when we let it be known that we had an advance order pending, what does RUSLING do? He gets scared. So if you pay Rusling and expect delivery, forget it. Now you MIGHT get a soft cover version - IF - Rusling has the money to print one for you. He probably wouldn't dare just to steal your money outright. Maybe he would. Who knows? But if he has to print your soft cover book and pay to get it printed, that is print-on-demand. What a fraud this guy Rusling is. His trolls must be totally brainless to support him and attack us. What a loony-tune bunch of the hypocritical Garry Stevens has gathered around him. What else can be said about Stevens and Rusling - other than they are disgusting specimens of biology? Rusling claims to have 'sold out' - which seems to indicate that he printed one book and he is holding on to it. Our order was placed in October and still don't have it!
In Texas they talk of someone not knowing "Jack Shit".
On Google this is what it says about Jack ...."What does it mean when someone says you dont know jack? - The "jack" part of this phrase means "nothing" and comes from the use of the name Jack to refer to an everyday man. ... What's interesting about the expression "you don't know jack" is that it means the same thing as "you know jack." Both phrases mean you don't know anything. 8 Mar 2020" That's polite, but when it comes down to dealing with fools, well, Texans are blunt and to the point, and here's what Google reports from the Urban dictionary about that same question: "jack shit - Nothing, or something equivalent to nothing. Jack shit has the remarkable property that its absence and presence are identical. Typically used with or without a negative to describe a total lack of knowledge, value, or significance. Its use carries a strong negative connotation which can express frustration, disdain, ignorance, or other negative qualities. I don't know jack shit about that. / I know jack shit about that. It's worth jack shit. / It isn't worth jack shit. I didn't get jack shit. / I got jack shit." So here is "Jack Shit" on Garry's Forum today .... "Posted by Jack on December 10, 2021, 9:38 am, in reply to "Re: More malevolent falsehoods from MH - I have made two suggestions to Hagger. The first relating to his editing process was accepted. The second, advising him to stop slagging everyone off and grow up, was not......" Now how we know that Jack is really "Jack Shit" is because a) he didn't tell Hagger anything. He accessed a proof-reader' forum and made his first comment which conformed to the requirements of the forum and so it was accepted with thanks. Then b) - Jack decided to reveal himself as Mr Shit and posted a rude second comment on the same forum. Because it was simply a rude comment it was deleted before it was posted. Neither comment was addressed to Mr Hagger, so Jack Shit, like Paul Rusling just lied. But the question is this: If Jack is not Jack Shit, then who is he? He is obviously a coward because he cannot reveal his legal last name, and he obviously knows nothing and therefore, any reasonable person might be forgiven if they suspect that his real last name is either Shit or yet another adopted name for Mister Custard Bowl Haircut, none other than Paul Alexander Rusling who started the thread that Mister Shit has just posted upon. However, please, please don't stop because our readership is zooming higher and higher due to the sane people who stumble across the insane Rustling's rubbish and then wonder what it is that he is so afraid of and why does Garry Stevens praise us to the hilt and tell us to dish it out to the trolls like Jack Shit? So they come over to 'Yesterday Never Happened' to discover the true story for themselves. Then they tell their friends who also come over and read the real story. Then those friends tell other friends .... So keep up your promotion guys, and Tesco agrees that "every little helps!" Well, this is strange, isn't it boys and girls?
Garry Stevens praises our research and tells us to blow the mock Radio Caroline of Malcolm Smith out of the water with our textual reporting. Then along comes Garry's pal Paul Rusling with a book based upon research stolen from us, but twisted to support Malcolm Smith. So what is Garry to do? For months Garry Stevens remained silent while we severed contact with Garry Stevens, then, months after a textual 'war' had begun by Paul Rusling against us, Garry Stevens re-emerges to tell his Administrator named Stewart to leave Paul Rusling's ludicrous attack thread alone. Others want to delete it, but now Garry Stevens wants to keep it, and it is Garry Stevens' Forum. So how does Garry Stevens account for his statement of support? On Wednesday he wrote this: "Some have said block this thread! But I personally think it should be left open for comment! As it lays the way for those to see what a Jerk this person is! And I feel that is important! As he is simply showing his foolhardy unstable twisted self." Now this is the same Garry Stevens who wrote this: "Wow what an interesting read Sir I can only say keep it coming! Trolls don’t count but those with open minds do! The board is visited by many as I'm sure you know by the count on the opening post on certain threads this often goes into the mid 4 numbers so when you look at the tiny same old few trolls their views if we can call it that are most certainly not shared by the many who stay quiet but read and digest good topics such as your research work, so don’t be put off by the few Trolls but carry on informing the many, and my board is one place that and your self will always be welcome. Best Regards Garry." Garry Stevens also wrote this on July 14, 2019: "You know the funniest part of all this is that there wont be one of them who don’t buy a copy! Even if its only out of hatred or just plain curiosity! But buy they will, so no mater what the last laugh will be yours my friend. (-:" So will the real Garry Stevens please stand up? Actually, we LIKE the ridiculous attacks that he allows his Trolls to post, because not only do they hurl abuse, but it is downright silly abuse because they have not even read the text that they claim to be attacking! Their attacks are always personal attacks, not substantive attacks about subject matter. But here is the kicker: We LIKE this barrage because even though we are not trying to attract attention from the world at large at the moment, the attacks made by Garry Stevens' Trolls are sending our unique (first time) viewing numbers higher and higher, along with the number of repeat visitors and the number of pages on our site that they are reading! So, maybe Garry Stevens is actually trying to maintain his friendship with Paul Rusling who stole from us to support Malcolm Smith's eponymous radio station - which Garry Stevens claims to detest, while remaining true to his statements above and driving his idiot Trolls over to read the true story of Radio Caroline which they otherwise would never do in a million years! Seems logical. The only other possibility is that Garry Stevens is like James MacGregor who writes totally meaningless drivel because he wafts in and out of sanity. Don't know which version is true, but if Garry was sincere the first time, he is one devious cookie, isn't he, because it is Garry Stevens who is ultimately making a fool of the ridiculous Trolls who make personal attacks against us! We are in the process of writing and publishing an account of Philip Birch and his involvement with Radio London, and it has just been brought to our attention that Philip Birch has died. Unfortunately many will now add the bogus story of Philip Birch and Radio London to the bogus story of Ronan O'Rahilly and Radio Caroline. The fact is that the history books are closing around the acceptance of a yesterday that never happened, and the more that this fraud is exposed, the more that the hard core true believers become angry and shout to drown out all who try to expose the true story. The cult of the true believer is very dangerous because it is a cult that lives in a world of make believe. Sometimes the actions of the mob of believers is harmless (except to the lives of the true believers), but sometimes it gives the world war, slavery and death camps guarded by close-minded goons. Even Oxford BBC historian Asa Briggs 'fell' for the mythology of 'Caroline' and the lies spun by Ronan O'Rahilly. Philip Birch took his orders from a Chicago tax lawyer named Burton Kanter who also worked with a CIA operative and members of the Mafia. Kanter was the doyen of offshore banking and tax avoidance, and Birch listened to Kanter in order to shut out the true mastermind behind Radio London whose name is Don Pierson. For Philip Birch read a smarter manipulator than Ronan O'Rahilly. Both lied.
