Why did O'Rahilly invent the story of Caroline Kennedy?

The reason is simple: Ronan O'Rahilly never knew the person that Radio Caroline was named after, and he began to invent a totally fictitious tale.

The problem is that so did Ian Cowper Ross.

Christopher Moore just played along with the mythology.

So who knew the real answer?

Jocelyn Stevens.

How did he know?

Well, thereby hangs the entire backstory about 'The Queen' magazine.

In his original version of his 'Bible', Rusling also made up a tale about how Stevens came to own 'The Queen' magazine. Then, after we began to explain who Rusling is and how he got a lot of new information which he tried to graft on to the fictious rubbish spun by O'Rahilly and Ross, he modified his fake tale somewhat, but he still had no idea of what the backstory is, and without knowing that, then he could not understand why Ronan O'Rahilly made up his tale about flying to the northeast of the USA, when he in fact flew to the southeast in June 1963. That is also a date that O'Rahilly never talked about and Rusling tried to work it into his narrative.

Just one problem. Mervyn Hagger is the sole source of information relating to the flight taken by O'Rahilly to Houston, Texas. How did Hagger know? Because Hagger went to live in Texas and he met the people who met with Ronan O'Rahilly!

But then there is the 'Jimmy' story spun by Ian Cowper Ross for his novel. That myth does not square with the O'Rahilly myths, and yet it involves both O'Rahilly and Christopher Moore who then began to promote the Caroline Kennedy myth in the USA during the latter half of 1965.

Such a lot of lies and none of them are compatible!

Meanwhile, the only person who knew the truth was Jocelyn Stevens and he was not talking!

So how did we manage to uncover the true story when everyone else failed?

Well we discovered the origin of the Caroline Kennedy myth by following the career of a journalist from Scotland who was working in London. We also followed the career trail of Beatrix Miller who invented a Style Sheet named after a person named Carolyn who Jocelyn Stevens renamed Caroline.

So who was this person named Carolyn, and how did we manage to track her down?

We followed the trail of her grandfather and father and then we followed his daughter named Carolyn.

Do we have a picture of Carolyn?

Yes, we do!

It was taken in 1965 at Carolyn's garden gate, but unfortunately it is pixelated because it appeared in a newspaper that was scanned and so it lost some of its clarity. Now we are trying to find a good picture of her. 

Is she still alive?

No, she died a few decades ago and she was not that old.

So faced with a lot of questions, Ronan O'Rahilly, not having any real answers, began making stuff up about a 5 years old girl whose father had just been murdered in Dallas, Texas, around the time that the Radio Caroline project was first dreamed up.

Can we prove all of this to court room standards?

You bet!

Now tell all this to OEM; Paul Rusling and his "Sir Hans Knot"; Mike Leonard and all of the many fiction writers such as Keith Skues and of Ray Clark who interviewed the number two liar - Ian Cowper Ross.

We will of course erase all abusive emails from anoraks who are worried that they have been conned by Ronan O'Rahilly and Ian Cowper Ross.
