This is the sequence that transformed Ian Cowper Ross' fake story about 'Jim Shaw' into BBC-TV 'reality' ....  The fake story began with this book launch in May 1990, and it was followed by a March 1, 1991 BBC-TV 'documentary' credited on screen with help from ....
.... and this was followed up by Ian Cowper Ross connecting his 1990 novel to the 1991 'documentary' .... This explains how the Anorak world turned fiction into documented fact which all of the many books and magazines that followed on after this date copied: so that 'Jim Shaw' became 'Jimmy Ross' - two characters that never existed. Neither was there any evidence to support Ian Cowper Ross' tale about Ronan O'Rahilly obtaining financing via a 'Jim Ross' in order to create Radio Caroline. Nor was there any surprise on the part of Allan Crawford about the creation of Radio Caroline, because Radio Caroline's first programmes were recorded at 47 Dean Street, the office and studio of Allan Crawford!
