In 1991 Oliver Stone created a movie called 'JFK' which pointed a finger at some characters in New Orleans as the perpetrators behind the murder of U.S. President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963.
In November 2021, Oliver Stone bounced back on to television screens with a documentary 'follow-up' called 'JFK Revisited'. He reasserted his theory that the 1963 murder had been hushed-up by the 'Warren Report'. To this end he has recently added new documentation regarding the so-called 'magic bullet' and the autopsy of the corpse of John F. Kennedy. Oliver Stone has also dusted off his original paper trail leading to the people that he says had motivation for pulling their triggers to shoot bullets in the direction of John F. Kennedy. He also says, the primary person who benefited most from the death of John F. Kennedy, was Vice-President Lyndon Baines Johnson from Texas. Accepting the new forensic information to be worthy of consideration, and from the standpoint of logic and as the next-in-line beneficiary of the death of John F. Kennedy, that person was obviously manifested as being Vice-President Johnson. Okay, we can accept that as well. But what is not clear, and what has never been clear, is the motivation for killing President John F. Kennedy in broad daylight and surrounded by onlookers in the heart of the City of Dallas, Texas. That suggests a sort of 'panic' motivation to get the job done within a limited time frame, no matter how difficult the task. That kind of motivation has also been the subject of discussion regarding the potential assassinations of Fidel Castro and Adolph Hitler. What it does not suggest in those two instances, is some sort of suicide assassination where the job to be done is more important that the one who is to perform that job, and will surrender their own life in doing it. A suicide assassin could easily have 'taken out' both Fidel Castrol and Adolph Hitler. But suicidal assassins do not belong in the recorded legacy of Western culture. However, the time and location setting for this very public murder of JFK does suggest an event that has the earmarks of desperation where short of suicidal assassination, the killers had to get the job done without fail before a specified deadline. What was that deadline? While there are a lot of theories about such a deadline and the motivation behind the death of JFK, there are not a lot of facts, but there are a few that need to be considered. One suggested motive was an expansion or curtailment of the Vietnam War. Vietnam was an open-ended 'problem', first for France and then for the USA that had been dragging on for years, but Oliver Stone pointed to Vietnam as being the cause of the assassination of JFK. However, a closer examination of the principal target does support a Vietnam connection and a companion suggestion that President Kennedy was going to dismantle the CIA is contradicted by the facts that are in evidence. Let us review the timelines involved, and yes, there is more than one, and yes, they do overlap each other. This means that certain events involving the same characters take place in the same time period, but not within the same designated space of that time period. Events can be kept separate, and the left hand need not know what the right hand is doing. The military refers to this secretive process as a 'need to know', and what a captured operative does not know, that operative cannot disclose to an enemy, even under torture to the extreme end resulting in death. What you don't know, you don't know. The timeline that we need to reconsider can be split into three main lines for the purpose of this evaluation, but others strands can, and probably should be added. But here we are dealing with basics and not necessarily with the fine details of the story. We begin with a story of a strange individual who emerged as a U.S. serviceman who worked in Japan at a U.S. air base attached to the flights of the U-2 spy planes. His name is Lee Harvey Oswald who returned to the USA and by September 1959 he was departing from New Orleans on board a ship bound for Le Havre in France, which then set off across the English Channel. At Southampton, England, Lee Harvey Oswald disembarked on October 9, 1959, and the same day, with only $700 in his pocket, he somehow arrived in Helsinki, Finland. There are a few guesses at to how he accomplished this, but no solid facts, and the investigating U.S. authorities officially reported that they were not sure how he got to Finland and then checked into an expensive hotel with only $700 to his name. But we do know that he was allowed into the USSR and then sent to the City of Minsk in the State of Belarus. Oswald then began work in Minsk as a lathe operator at the Gorizont Electronics Factory, In March 1961, Oswald, who was 21, met Marina Prusakova who was 19 and six weeks later they were married. A daughter named June was born on February 15, 1962, and then on June 1, 1962, the three of them were given documents and $435.71 to emigrate back to the USA. This time Oswald took a more direct route than the one that took Lee Harvey Oswald to the USSR. In July 1962 he took up residence in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex of Texas. Oliver Stone points to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and a plan to ramp-up the military war in Vietnam and related countries in South-east Asia. Stone says that the Kennedy brothers were opposed to that idea after they became disillusioned by the CIA after its failed attempt in 1961 to invade the island of Cuba. That plan was inherited by JFK from his predecessor in the Office of President, General Dwight Eisenhower. According to the latest output from Oliver Stone, and the mythology in which he has now mixed the latest forensic research into the 'magic bullet' and bogus autopsy, the peace-loving U.S. President John F. Kennedy and his nepotistic brother Robert F. Kennedy, who served his president as U.S. Attorney General, the CIA had to be destroyed. But is that true? What the public from that era remembers, is that after the 1961 'Bay of Pigs' fiasco, there came a showdown in 1962 with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), and that showdown almost ended in a nuclear World War III. But while that was taking place in the news headlines, these two conniving individuals (John and Robert), were engaging in a highly secret operation with ominous overtones regarding the the geopolitical future of the USA. Just after the failed invasion of Cuba in 1961 when President John F. Kennedy hung the CIA out to dry in public, in private, he was meeting with the CIA Director John McCone and these two created a spin-off of the CIA that was not located in Langley, Virginia, but in South Miami, Florida. Nosey news reporters were told at the front gate facilities, that the University of South Miami had leased part of its campus once occupied by a helium balloon facility, to a private research company. In reality it was the front entrance to an operation controlling a huge private air force, a fleet of ships, and an army of men who for the most part were based outside of U.S. borders. Day-to-day money transfers were 'washed' via a bank in Miami, but management of this operation called 'Special Group' was vested in the chairmanship of Robert F. Kennedy in Washington, D.C. Inside the 'Special Group' was an even more secretive operation called 'Special Group (Augmented) or 'SGA'. Its members were charged with overthrowing Castro's government, which in the press, President Kennedy claimed that he would not attempt to do. Using plausible denial, he left the control of the SGA in the hands of his brother RFK who was supported by John McCone (CIA Director); McGeorge Bundy (National Security Adviser); Alexis Johnson (State Department); Roswell Gilpatric (Defence Department); General Lyman Lemnitzer (Joint Chiefs of Staff) and General Maxwell Taylor. Also in attendance when necessary, were Dean Rusk (Secretary of State) and Robert S. McNamara (Secretary of Defence). The year was 1962 and while Bobby Kennedy kept his head down and his brother just made angry scathing attacks on the CIA in public, one reporter in Miami began wondering about the ownership of various ships that were being tied-up in South Florida waters. One of those vessels was a ship that was under the control of Manuel Airtime Buesa, and he had been a key person in the original landings on the island of Cuba at the 'Bay of Pigs'. President Kennedy succeeded in bribing Fidel Castro for the release of Airtime, as he was often referred to. In fact, President Kennedy welcomed back 'BAM' as he was also known by the reversal of his initials, at a very public ceremony in a very public sports stadium. JFK handled the military colors of Airtime's invading force and promised him that 'BAM's military flag would one day very soon, fly over Havana, Cuba! Airtime then became involved in one of those strange vessels that docked in a U.S. Air Force pen at South Miami. Its name is 'Olga Patricia'. To cover the real purpose behind the assignment of this vessel when it appeared on Galveston island where it was outfitted with helium cylinders, the press was told that they would inflate high altitude balloons from its decks. This was duly reported by the press. The balloons would be released while the 'Olga Patricia' was in international waters, and samples would be collected by the instruments attached to the balloons. They were looking for signs of nuclear fallout. However, this CIA ship was not conducting atmospheric research, even though it was launching balloons from its deck. Attached to those balloons were several types of propaganda from toys to literature, and they were released at a certain altitude where they would then descend upon the island of Cuba to be retrieved by ordinary citizens. In March 1963, during the time that the 'Olga Patricia' was making its home at the Port of Galveston, a vessel named 'Mi Amigo', ex-'Magda Maria'; ex-'Bon Jour' also arrived. The press, being competitive and regionalized in the years before the dawn of the Internet's World Wide Web, managed to assert that the 'Mi Amigo' had been a radio ship attached to the CIA. But further reports noted that its ownership was vested in a trio based in Dallas, Texas. One of these people was a big name connected to Texas oil and engineering. His name is Clint Murchison Jr., and he was an associate of a man who headed a company fulfilling government building contracts. The name of that millionaire is Robert F. Thompson, and both of them were pals on a social level with Gordon McLendon, who with his father, owned movie theatres and broadcasting stations. McLendon had one other 'asset', he was pals with fellow Texan David Atlee Phillips who was born in nearby Fort Worth. Phillips was a CIA master of 'dirty tricks' and in 1954 he masterminded a plan that led to the overthrow of the government of Guatemalan President Jacobo Arbenz. Phillips engineered the fall of Arbenz with a 'pirate' radio station that broadcast a form of make-believe political theater which claimed that a real rebel army was marching on the capital. To give it a limited fear factor, Phillips had an aircraft drop a bomb or two in the vicinity of the presidential palace. Arbenz fled. Phillips either learned his craft from McLendon, or McLendon learned his craft from Phillips, because the first thing that McLendon did when he got into sports broadcasting, was to learn how to create fake play-by-play commentary while he was actually sitting in the basement of a hotel in a suburb of Dallas. McLendon was assisted by a person relaying telegraphed information from the actual game, and by special effects personal sitting next to McLendon. From this McLendon was able to build a formidable sports network, long before he turned his attention to pop music. As time went by McLendon's talents were called upon by CIA operatives running Radio Free Europe, and then, with the help of Murchison and Thompson, they equipped the 'Mi Amigo' as a radio station called 'Nord', and anchored it off Stockholm in the Baltic Sea. Its broadcasts were heard not only in Sweden, but in the captive Baltic States behind the 'Iron Curtain' of the USSR. When the Swedish government made it impossible to continue, in the second half of 1962, the ship was offered for sale to Allan Crawford, an Australian music publisher in England who hoped to use it to 'plug' his own independent record label and artists. That plan failed to take-off and so the ship was taken to Galveston where it was stripped of its broadcasting equipment upon instructions from Bill Weaver, the national manager for McLendon's radio stations. On June 26, 1963, U.S. President John F. Kennedy was in West Berlin where he made his "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech. He then took off to arrive in Dublin, Ireland, and after a short visit JFK took off over the Irish Sea for London, England where he met U.K. Prime Minister Harold Macmillan who took him on June 29, 1963 down to his home in West Sussex for an informal visit. Meanwhile, in June 1963 while JFK was in Ireland and then in England, a young Irishman named Ronan O'Rahilly who later claimed to be a huge fan of the U.S. President, was not following him in Ireland or in England, but on his way to Houston, Texas. His flight went from London to Idlewild Airport in New York State, and then by another flight to Texas for a journey taking over 15 hours. The reason why O'Rahilly had to fly from London to New York on the first part of his journey, is that there were no regular direct flights at that time from London to Houston. But it was on the first part of this journey that Ronan O'Rahilly later tied to reading a newspaper or a magazine (the source kept changing with the telling of the story), in which President Kennedy's 5 years-old daughter Caroline was photographed with her younger brother John Jr., in the Oval Office of the White House. But this fluid story also related to a fictitious scene in which Caroline was shown crawling under the President's desk, and although much later she did indeed crawl under that desk in another photographic sequence, it was John Jr., who was shown on that occasion as the one doing the exploring. However, this apocryphal tale of reminiscence was invented for telling to journalists in 1965, as a means of explaining how Radio Caroline got its name. The event recalled by O'Rahilly was a phantom, an invention. It never happened. The origin of that story began with a British journalist working in New York in 1965 who successfully used it to persuade the murdered brother of Robert F. Kennedy into playing along with a tabloid publicity stunt. So while the still living President John F. Kennedy was in Ireland chatting away to his kith and kin, and then informally chatting away with Prime Minister Harold Macmillan about the nuclear missile deterrent that Kennedy's predecessor President General Eisenhower had promised the United Kingdom; Ronan O'Rahilly was visiting a stripped down radio ship docked on the island of Galveston, south of Houston, Texas where he bought a pair of cowboy boots. Then came the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, and it was followed shortly afterwards on November 24, 1963, by the murder of his accused trigger-man Lee Harvey Oswald. That happened while he was in police custody; surrounded by news reporters and captured 'live' for an awestruck television audience to witness for themselves. Tomorrow we will explain how these factions all come together in a sea of lies and mayhem. The only 'swinging' in the real Sixties that took place, involved the strangulation of truth and the murder of the President of the United States of America. Comments are closed.
