When the co-authors began to assemble their research in 2014, they were confronted by a very brief statement which appeared in one paragraph on a single page of a book edited by a reputable journalist and assisted by a credible technical writer. This book is titled 'Radio Man', and it had been published in 2002 by the prestigious Institute of Electrical Engineers, and its publication was funded by a Foundation established by the grandson of Charles Orr Stanley who took a relatively small company and turned it into the world famous Pye Group of companies, before it collapsed and eventually disappeared via acquisition of its assets by rival companies. Because of the ambiguity and brevity of the reference in this book, it had not previously come to the attention of the co-authors of this work.
By the year 2000, the co-authors had begun documenting their research in academic journals. Those articles are Online:
In 2015, one of the co-authors was scheduled to give a lecture at the Burntisland Communications Museum in Fife, Scotland, about the origins of 'Radio Caroline' in1964, during the birth of offshore radio in the United Kingdom. However, the brief text in the book 'Radio Man' which contained a specific reference to the creation of 'Radio Caroline', contradicted everything that was known at that time about 'Radio Caroline' by the co-authors of this work. The lecture went ahead with both an apology and a caveat to recommence a thorough investigation into the claims found in the book 'Radio Man', and then began a published part work written for the Museum journal. The 9th article in this series is currently in preparation for publication. Click the button below to read the first article, it begins on page 16 of 'Transmitting' magazine:
What appeared to be a relatively simple task of both investigation and then verification of the claims made in'Radio Man' turned into a nightmare of expensive and time-consuming new research. This research restart began in 2015, due to the fact that the person who created basis for that single paragraph on that single page in 'Radio Man', and the people who had were given physical custody of that original research, decided to deliberately obfuscate its location and examination. However, it was located and its study only resulted in the creation of many more unanswered questions by the co-authors of this work.
Today, the co-authors now know that the story they had been working on prior to 2014, is not one story but many stories composed of individual biographical threads. They eventually collide in a community of shared interests, but they do not result in a unified single story. It also came to light that none of these players wanted to reveal the true story of their lives for a variety of individual reasons. So the co-authors of this work have been confronted with not one, but a deluge of mis-directions that have only been made more confusing by umpteen authors of books all claiming to tell the 'real story' and the 'true story' about 'Radio Caroline', but not one of them has engaged in original research on the scale of this work. Consequently those books have become a misleading and annoying distraction.
Aside from the multitude of individual but parallel biographical lives behind the real story, is the discovery that the key to understanding what happened with the creation of 'Radio Caroline' was not only the concealment of its funding, but a deliberate misdirection as to its funding. In fact, it is by 'following the money' that the actual story has come to light. Many claims to money sources have been investigated and the majority of them have turned out to be false leads.

Money, not Music, was The Motivator
'Radio Caroline' began with a test broadcast on March 27, 1964, and was killed off at midnight on August 14, 1967. Its remains were hauled away in March of the following year. But in 1966 during the peak of British offshore broadcasting, 23-years-old Ron O'Quinn became one of the very few, and perhaps the only person to publicly come forward in a television interview and tell the truth about offshore broadcasting. This is what he said:
"So, we're here to make money. Of course we'd like to make friends with it, but money is the real answer and it's definitely here to be made. .... I really don't know 'Plan B'."
Unfortunately, not only was the money motivation obfuscated, but beginning in the year 1990, BBC-TV engaged in promoting a huge lie which has been expanded upon by a large number of books that followed in its wake. The lie began with a novel written by Ian Cowper Ross which was simultaneously turned, by careful editing, into a television documentary.
The centerpiece of this fiction was a mythical financier named 'Jimmy Ross'. But he did not exist in real life. It was only by inference that he began to morph into the father of Ian Cowper Ross. By marriage in 1966, Ian Cowper Ross had become a young fringe member of the British Establishment, and it was via his aristocratic mother-in-law that the lie was promoted about the origins of money behind 'Radio Caroline'. With careful staging, this propaganda soon became part of the Georgie Fame and Caroline Kennedy mantra that continues to be retold to anyone who asks where the money came from to start 'Radio Caroline' in 1964.
However, by 1990 the events of 1964 were almost forgotten, so we began to ask why did Ian Cowper Ross suddenly emerge with a book and a BBC-TV show in order to promote a barrage of misinformation? This is also one of the questions we set out to answer in this work.

Pebble Theatre
On October 20, 1985, Prince Charles, now King Charles III, sat on a couch with Diana, who was his wife at that time, and responded to a question presented during an interview that was conducted by Alastair Burnet of Independent Television News. Charles provided us with a description of Pebble Theatre:
".... Uh, I just feel that sometimes, not too often, uh, I can, I can throw a rock into a pond and, and watch the ripples, um, create a certain amount of discussion .... " [Click the video below]
".... Uh, I just feel that sometimes, not too often, uh, I can, I can throw a rock into a pond and, and watch the ripples, um, create a certain amount of discussion .... " [Click the video below]
When this younger Prince Charles threw his imaginary 'rock' (we substituted the is for the word pebble in order to observe what he saw), it became obvious that he would inherit a huge lie that he had to maintain. That lie is both the foundation of British sovereignty, and the raison d'être for the creation of 'Radio Caroline'.
The ripples that Charles saw in his mind's eye were just one set of many begun throughout time, by other people. Because we all live one Planet, these metaphorical 'ripples' not only stain the fabric of time, they also collide with other ripples caused by other people. This combined activity results in disturbances that are no longer attributable to one person, but to many people reacting to many different events over a long period of time. They also result in observed confusion. |
|
Therefore we required a different means of identifying the individual 'rock', or in our case, pebble throwers, as well as a means of determining why they had created ripples of their own, as well as a means of specifying when they created their own ripples. We turned to the world of psychiatry for pointers.
The YesterCode
|
It was while we were watching a true life televised court room sequence set in a private hospital room, that we got the idea for the YesterCode.
On the bed, surrounded by lawyers, a doctor, nursing staff, and of course a television crew, was a comatose patient. One of the lawyers raised the question about standard procedure, if the patient awoke in a competent state of mind, and was suddenly confronted by the bedside audience. |
This was a hypothetical question because in this instance the patient was unlikely to awake, and if they did, brain damage might negate any form of questioning. A psychiatric explanation followed. It began with reference to code that is often referred to as 'O3X' or 'OX3', which is shorthand for 'Orientation times three', or 'Orientation three times'.
A doctor may ask a person coming out of a coma: "Do you know where you are? Do you you know your name? Do you know what time it is?" To these questions a fourth is sometimes added which refers to a specific event that created the reason for the other three questions. We compare the event question to the instant act of throwing a pebble into still water and observing the ripples. Written as 'Event+O3X', this is the YesterCode we use to unravel confusing and often conflicting data which some employ to mislead investigators.

The YesterAir Series
On August 22, 2022, we concluded a business deal to publish three print editions, in addition to works already published for specialized markets. However, since our research is a continuing and expanding process, we have revised our initial three titles to include additional material. They are all part of our Pebble Theatre presentation called 'Beginnings' which reveals the origins of mass media in both the USA and UK. Collectively we refer to our retro analysis as 'YesterAir'. This dated Online version (see date and time notation above), may differ from the printed publication. The individual subject matter of each related work is highlighted and shown below:
Because this project was never mapped-out as a pre-known and organized investigation, but rather as a series of questions whose answers only generated more questions, it has resulted in a storyline without a fixed beginning, or a fixed ending. While it began as a basic story about offshore broadcasting, it has now evolved into something far bigger in scope, and therefore it is anticipated that these three volumes will be followed by many more as time progresses.
Rather than use traditional terms with regards to past events and their participants, we adopted variations on the word 'yester', as in 'YesterStudies', and 'YesterTecs'. This is the foundational basis for our own unscrambling of hitherto conflicting accounts of past events. It is also the means by which we are able to reveal what our investigations have uncovered, along with supporting documentation to substantiate our findings.
- DIAL 999 FOR (Radio) CAROLINE - The organized crime station. This is Book One in our series and it is currently being republished online from text drawn from our existing Blog articles, but with revisions and additions to text. The scope of this book deals with events primarily focused upon the years from 1959 to 1968. It totally debunks the nonsense promoted by Ronan O'Rahilly about his own life and his involvement with 'Radio Caroline'. It also debunks the nonsense promoted by Ian Cowper Ross involving his make-believe father. This book will also reveal the extent to which international political problems were created by spies and organized crime gang members during the so-called 'Swinging 60s', in conjunction with both offshore 'pirate' broadcasting and the birth of the international offshore gas and oil industry exploring and exploiting the North Sea. It will be published in two versions: a lighter version aimed at the mass-market, and an academic version containing extensive documentation.
- WIZARDS BEHIND CURTAINS - The origins of American and British broadcasting. Book Two examines in detail the origins of American and British broadcasting and its relationship to mass media publications. It will place the first volume in this series within a wider context. Most of the contents of this book have been previously published by the authors over several years, either in print or online. However, because research is continuing, this volume will contain a lot of new material that places long-overlooked events that took place in Scotland, in a totally new light.
- WORLD-EXCLUSIVE! - Yesterday never happened and Tomorrow never came. Book Three will focus upon the tabloid media and its coverage of events - including the 1939 exhibition called The World of Tomorrow'. It was held in the State of New York, and its purpose was to reveal what the cultural, commercial and scientific world of tomorrow would be like. That future mapped out past decades before 2023, but they never happened as predicted. In that respect there is a great similarity to the predictions of 1939 and the recalling in 2023 of events from not only 1939, but all of the years preceding that year. Predicting the future is usually a scam for financial gain, and looking back in time is often the work of vested financial interests trying to validate their current activities by referring to a past that never happened.

About our latest research
We are in the process of assembling this book Online by both extracting our own previously published material which has appeared in many formats and in many venues, while continuing with our own research. For this reason anyone who is trying to follow our texts at this time and reading them as though they are a finished work product, will obviously be very confused by the continued placement and removal of texts, or the amending of texts, or even the reshuffling of texts from one page to another. That is because these texts are fluid and not final, and they will not become final until they are reproduced in print.
At the moment there is no Contents page or Index page. They will only appear once the final texts are approved for print. Our references will become part of our Yesterpedia section which we began some time ago and then stopped while conducting further research. Yesterpedia is also presently Online but not deliberately linked to this present work because it is also part of a work in progress.
If you are following the progress of this work, you are advised to note the last date posted on this page which refers to any update on any successive page. That includes both the Preface and Introduction and Yesterpedia. Our aim is to be very open about what we are seeking to accomplish, and we invite all sincerely serious persons who agree with our endeavors to contact us with a view to assisting this project expand both in scope and in depth. In the first instance please contact us via the 'Editorial Comments' button at the top of this page.
